How Stripe Works on Mudiera

This guide explains the full flow in simple steps. You will see how to connect your business profile, complete onboarding in Stripe, accept payments, and receive payouts. Stripe manages verification and payouts.

Step-by-step onboarding flow

Business dashboard

🟣 Step 1: Open your business dashboard and click Start / Continue Stripe setup.

🔗 Step 2: Mudiera creates or reuses your connected Stripe account and sends you to a Stripe-hosted onboarding page.

🧾 Step 3: In Stripe, complete identity checks, business details, and payout details.

↩️ Step 4: Return to Mudiera and click Refresh Stripe status to sync requirements and capabilities.

✅ Step 5: When status is connected and charges are enabled, your business can accept payments.

How payouts work

Stripe processes the customer payment and manages transfer timing.

Payout schedules, bank account handling, and compliance checks are managed by Stripe.

If additional verification is required, Stripe shows that requirement in onboarding and account status screens.

You can use Open Stripe dashboard in Mudiera to complete pending requirements directly in Stripe.

Platform fee explanation (3%)

Mudiera currently applies a 3% platform fee in active platform fee flows (orders, bookings, and events).

Simple example: if a customer pays £100, the platform fee is £3 and the remaining amount follows the Stripe connected account flow.

All calculations are handled server-side before checkout or payment confirmation.

Troubleshooting in one minute

Action required means Stripe still needs information. Click Open Stripe dashboard.

Connect button not working usually means stale test/live account references. Reconnect Stripe from dashboard.

Status not updated means you should click Refresh Stripe status after you return from Stripe onboarding.
